Rio Rancho Roadrunners Added to 2026-27 Expansion

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Rio Rancho RoadRunners have been added to its record-setting expansion for the 2026-2027 season. “We are really pleased to have Aaryon “Bird” Williams as part of the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “He is a very experienced, very capable person and I know the RoadRunners will be a great addition to the ABA.”

The team will be owned by StaySweaty Athletics Revocable Business Trust and operated by FLIYE Organization LLC (S2A Basketball) which will be responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, program execution and partnerships. Pro Athletics Club (PAC), a division of S2A Basketball coordinates all of its programs including the Greater RoadRunners and Lady RoadRunners and manages staffing, youth pipelines, facilities and volunteer programs.

“Bird” Williams will serve as Head Coach & Director of Basketball Operations, responsible for all on-court operations, player development, roster management, competitive strategy and game execution. “We are really looking forward to being a part of the ABA and the ABA’s Western Region, and to providing the citizens of Rio Rancho with a top quality organization on and off the court,” added Williams.
