Petersburg Live Wires Added to ABA 2026 Expansion

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Petersburg Live Wires have been added to the ABA’s record-setting expansion for the 2026-2027 season.

“The Live Wires will be owned by Hassan Fountain, CEO of the Richmond Ram Chargers,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Hassan has done a terrific job with the Ram Chargers and I know that the Live Wires will be successful on and off the court.”

“Our goal has been to establish a strong ABA presence in Virginia,” added Fountain. “Working with Sherry Horne, President of Operations, this initiative aims to provide a platform for local athletes to showcase their skills while fostering community engagement. We eagerly anticipated the competitive spirit the Petersburg Live Wires will bring.”
