The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Port Huron Wolves
are set to begin play when the league resumes in November.
"Kashad Lee and his team will be a great addition to the Central Region," stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. "Michigan is a great basketball state and we've needed more teams there. Hopefully this will jumpstart additional teams."
"I'm excited for the opportunity to join the expansion of the ABA and take on this new challenge," added Lee. "I've always embraced situations that require growth and I'm eager to build something meaningful both on and off the court. Our goal is to bring a high level of energy, competition and entertainment to the city while also making a real impact in the community. This team is about more than basketball. We're committed to mentorship, leadership, and setting a positive example for young men who look up to us. We are open to partnering with organizations and programs that share the vision of creating change and uplifting the community. We are also open to any athletes 18+ who are ready to compete, grow and be a part of something bigger than themselves."
