The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Carolina Voltage has been added to its record-setting expansion. The team will be located in Winston-Salem NC and will be the second ABA team owned by Erik Norman, also the owner of the Carolina Kings.

“Multiple team ownership has been a goal of the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Erik is the fifth ABA team owner with multiple teams and I know he will do a great job.”

A native of Reidsville NC, Erik is a teacher at Reidsville High School and is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Education Administration. He is the owner of the Triad Outlaws semi-pro football team, the Fight Factory combat sports promotional company, a partner in Synergy Logistics Group Freight Company and Founder of Kings Raising Kings NFP organization.

“I have dedicated my life to educating and nurturing our youth who I believe are the future leaders our communities,” added Norman. ”I sit on the Board of Commission for Human Relations for the City of Reidsville. If you could sum up my mentality in a short phrase, it would be 'just find a way.' I am excited about the opportunity to establish a successful team in Winston-Salem, a city buzzing with the energy of thousands of college students and local business owners.”
