ABA Welcomes Albany Team Motion to Its Growing Roster of Teams

The American Basketball Association (ABA), the largest professional basketball league in the US, today announced the addition of Albany Team Motion to its growing roster of teams.

“We are very pleased to have Rabren Pittman and his team as part of the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Rabren has a great background and will be a terrific addition to the league.”

Rabren Pittman, a proud native of Albany GA, is the founder and head coach of Albany Team Motion. With over 18 years of coaching experience, he has built a lasting legacy of leadership, mentorship and competitive success in Southwest GA and beyond. In May 2025, Coach Pittman made history by becoming the first coach from Southwest GA to win the prestigious Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions (AAU) with a victory over Team New York.

“We are excited to be a part of the ABA,” added Pittman. “Our goal is to represent not just Albany, but the heart, gut and pride of the entire region. I remain committed to building something bigger than the game; a legacy of leadership and a pathway for the next generation.”
