Building off the legacy of the original ABA that spawned legends like Dr. J, George Gervin, Rich Barry, Moses Malone and others, a league that featured slam dunks, 3-point shots and the iconic red, white and blue ball, the current ABA, reborn in 2000 and having just completed its 25th Anniversary season, has truly become a league of opportunity.

The ABA has grown to become the largest professional sports league in the US with nearly 150 teams allowing nearly 2000 players the opportunity to live their dream of playing professional basketball; allowing nearly 300 coaches the opportunity to coach at the professional level; allowing nearly 300 officials the opportunity to referee at the professional level; allowing nearly 1000 young people the opportunity to begin careers in sports marketing and management every year, and most important, making it easier to own and operate a professional basketball team than ever before.
